Kids get healthy and physically fit with FitFox Superhero
“Now is the time to get kids excited about health and fitness, before childhood obesity spirals out of control,” argues Efrain Guerrero, a Personal Trainer and weight loss coach. Physical activity positively influences cognitive, social and motor skill development resulting in better grades, rate of learning and classroom behavior; according to the National Partnership, a network of organizations, professional groups and government agencies to promote best practices in schools throughout the country.
“Children learn by imitating role models,” asserts the creator of FitFox, a health and fitness superhero whose mission is to excite and inspire children to eat healthy and exercise daily. “What better way to excite kids about exercise and eating healthy than with a real life superhero”?
FitFox puts on free, thirty-minute fun, interactive shows in San Diego-based pre and elementary schools engaging kids on how to eat healthy and stay fit. Each child also receives a gift containing a FitFox pencil, a FitFox sticker, activity book full of health and fitness tips and a kid-friendly Cook Book. FitFox also does Superhero Obstacle Fun Runs across San Diego cities aimed at promoting the FitFox mission and engaging the community.
“Attractive, inspiring, easy to remember, and easy to imitate are factors that help children exercise and eat healthy” explains Mr. Guerrero on the rationale behind the FitFox Superhero.
