GolfLinkd App Launched to Connect Golfers On and Off the Course

App Designed to Help Players Grow and Gain Access to their Real-Time Personal Golf Network

ROCHESTER, NY – GolfLinkd, a mobile application dedicated to connecting golfers and making it easier for them to communicate, launched today in the App Store. The app features a simple, easy-to-use interface designed to help players grow their personal golf networks and link with other golfers.

“We’re very excited to offer this app to golfers of all skill levels, so they can easily find and connect with other players, view member’s profiles, and increase their individual golf networks,” said Ryan Marks, CEO, GolfLinkd. “As a golfer, it can be difficult to identify others who have a similar interest, are available to fill in as a fourth player, or are interested in joining a seasonal league. We created this app with these types of situations in mind and believe this app will help fill the gap that we find many golfers have today.”

To access the app, users are asked to log in with their Facebook or LinkedIn account. Once the selected account is verified, the app requires several golf-related questions to be answered including the player’s average handicap score and their walk or ride preference. Golfers that download the app can then connect with other players in their local community and throughout the U.S. and U.K.

“We find many golfers wish they knew other golfers in the area, especially while traveling, so they have the opportunity to experience courses in different cities,” said Evan Hausle, chief operating officer, GolfLinkd. “We designed GolfLinkd with a search function capable of targeting golfers by zip code or city, so users can locate other golfers during trips – whether for business or pleasure.”

Members who use their LinkedIn account to access the app can also help boost their professional networking circles as their business profiles become accessible to GolfLinkd users. This is especially advantageous to those who relocate for their careers and find it difficult to find others who enjoy the game of golf, thus helping to ease the transition into a new city by forging new personal and business connections through a round of golf.

Members of private country clubs will also have an added benefit of accessing their club’s password protected community within the GolfLinkd app, helping the members make business contacts, schedule games, share scores, view the full club roster and more. This is currently being rolled out to selected clubs around the nation.

“Our goal at GolfLinkd is to make it easier for golfers to connect and share their passion with one another. We truly believe this app will help grow the game of golf and become quintessential to increasing the popularity of this great game with more well-seasoned golfers and those new to the game,” said Marks.

The GolfLinkd app is free to download in the App Store and is optimized for iPhones. The app is also compatible with all iPhone and iPod touch devices running iOS 7 or higher versions. Additional versions will be released later this year.

GolfLinkd is a mobile application developed specifically to provide golfers a platform to connect with other players and further grow their individual golf networks. The app’s easy-to-use platform is what makes the application so powerful, helping to drive more personal connections through rounds of golf.
